Good News Friday Podcast Week 28(4 Minutes and 52 Seconds)
Hello and Welcome back to Good News Friday! Today is Friday February 5th, 2010. My name is Bruce Karasik.
The Home Buyer Tax Credit is Expiring Soon: You Must Act Now to Take Advantage of This Benefit!
Back in November the U.S. government extended the home buyer tax credit to April 30, 2010. In November the April 30 deadline seemed a long time away, and perhaps you felt you had plenty of time to take advantage of this benefit. But now – that deadline is just a little over two and a half months away. That means you must be in escrow and under contract by April 30, 2010 to qualify.
I believe (and the general consensus is) that this tax credit will not be extended again. So you must act now to take advantage of this benefit. This tax credit can benefit first-time home buyers up to $8,000 and current homeowners up to $6,500, provided they meet certain guidelines. And because this program is a tax credit – it does not have to be repaid.
So as your Real Estate Advisor and Consultant I am telling you not to wait for the last minute. It may take some time to find the right home so you need to start looking at homes in person with us. Many of you are already receiving homes from us via email and that is a good start. If you are not on our Marketwatch Program, get in touch with us right away. It is easy, simple and convenient. But there is no substitute to seeing homes in person, so I strongly advise you to book some time with us to take a tour of homes you may be interested in.
You, like me, want to save money and whether you are eligible for the $8,000 tax credit or the $6,500 tax credit, I don’t want you to miss out.
There has never been a better time to take advantage of this tax credit because hundreds of homes are priced below market value. If you have a family member or friend who could benefit from learning more about this program, please have them call me for a free one-hour consultation so we can discuss how they may be able to take advantage of this benefit. This program expires soon! And so today, I really want to reach out to you and ask you today……Who are the next renters, growing families, or empty-nesters you know who should learn about this program? Who come to mind first?
Now more than ever it is important to contact a real professional to get the best advice. So call me or email and I will be happy to talk with you, your friends, your family or your neighbors, about the most current information about the Real Estate and Mortgage market and how it can affect you. Our goal is to save you money when you buy your home this year or refinance at the new lower rates.
